Caregiver Support

Caregivers frequently invest so much time and energy caring for others that they put themselves at risk for burnout when their own needs are postponed or ignored. Common warning signs include:

Feelings of grief and loss

Difficulties finding joy in everyday life

Feeling helpless, hopeless, and sad 

Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or exhausted

Frequent headaches or body aches

Strained family relations

Changes in appetite and/or sleep

Feeling increasingly angry or resentful

Feeling defeated, alone, and detached from the world

Frequently feeling sick or more susceptible to illness
